Community Conversations: Pandemic Perspectives, NJ’s COVID-19 Storytelling Project

Community Conversations: Pandemic Perspectives Showcase is a partnership between the NJ YMCA State Alliance and the NJ Department of Health to capture the accounts of New Jersey residents experiencing increased vulnerability, marginalization, and isolation during COVID-19.

The project has documented over 580 resident experiences through interviews, focus groups, written narratives, journals, and creative works, including poetry, spoken word, paintings, drawings, sculptures, graphic art, short films, video logs, and songs.

Thursday, December 9, 2021, 6:00 - 7:30 pm, Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center, In-person only/not offered virtually. (Advance registration required)

Important Safety Information

12/09/21 – All presenters and attendees are required to provide proof of a negative COVID test (within 72 hours of entrance) or receive a rapid COVID test available onsite. Doors will open at 5 pm for COVID testing.

12/10/21 – All in-person attendees are required to provide proof of full vaccination or present a negative COVID test (within 72 hours of entrance) and/or receive a rapid COVID test available onsite. Masks will be required for all participants during the conference, except as necessary to consume food or beverage. Social distancing precautions will be applied, and sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the conference center. In-person attendance is subject to change due to any federal, state, or local executive order or mandate.

The NJ YMCA State Alliance and the NJ Department of Health are monitoring COVID-19 and will post updates at njymca.org.
