INTUITIVE APPROACH TO MULTl-FACETED CAPACITY BUILDING
Community-centered work requires authenticity in advancing coalitions and engaging residents. This includes Identifying and understanding needs, cultural gaps and leveraging assets to improve community outcomes. This model adopts the Spectrum of Community Engagement.
The aim of technical assistance and coaching is to maximize the quality of project implementation by inspiring and guiding coalition members, funders and grantees towards transformation.
Foundational Elements
Equity is the outcome of fairness and justice so everyone can reach their full potential.
Policy Change includes resolutions, ordinances, regulations or course of action that describes expectations of a community.
Systems Change includes infrastructure or institutional modifications that remove social and racial barriers.
Environmental Change includes improvements of attributes of any neighborhood, community or municipality.
