Community College Partnership - March 2026 Newsletter

The New Jersey YMCA State Alliance is proud to partner with the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) to expand educational and workforce development opportunities for YMCA staff across the state.

Through this initiative, the Alliance is working with all 18 community colleges in New Jersey to create a statewide pathway for YMCA employees to pursue associate degrees and stackable micro-credentials through their local community colleges.

This partnership supports YMCA staff in advancing their education, strengthening career pathways, and building skills that benefit both their professional growth and the communities they serve.

Many eligible New Jersey residents may also qualify for tuition-free community college through the Community College Opportunity Grant (NJ Promise), making higher education more accessible for YMCA professionals across the state.

By connecting YMCAs with community colleges in every region, this collaboration strengthens the Alliance’s commitment to workforce development, education access, and long-term career advancement within the YMCA movement.
