Local Ys Expand NJ SNAP Navigator Program - December 2024 Newsletter

The NJ YMCA State Alliance is excited to support the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Family Development in advancing the state’s response to the needs of NJ residents experiencing food insecurity through the SNAP Navigator program. Since it began in 2022, local YMCA SNAP Navigators have supported community members in understanding and applying for benefits through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the nation’s most significant anti-hunger initiative.
In 2024-2025, 11 YMCAs are providing SNAP Navigator services in their communities. To see which YMCAs are providing this critical support and to get in touch, visit: njymca.org/snap-navigator
