Julie Gallanty, MA, CPC, CVA

 

Julie Gallanty has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit and community health. As CEO, she implements our strategic direction and leads the initiatives of the Alliance to support the 30 YMCAs in New Jersey as well as our community partners. Previously she held the role of Senior Vice President of NJ YMCA State Alliance Services, and provided consulting assistance in strategic planning, board of governance, and CEO onboarding, as well as shared services and mergers to New Jersey YMCAs.

She has also served as senior executive of the YMCA of Greater New York, CEO of the New Rochelle YMCA, executive director of the Ridgewood YMCA, and CEO of the Hoboken-North Hudson YMCA.

Her other accomplishments include helping to raise $2.25 million dollars to renovate the New Rochelle YMCA pool and was awarded $11.5 million in funding for a low-income housing tax credit project for 96 single room occupancy (SRO) units for the Hoboken YMCA.

Gallanty is active in the local community and is a board officer at the Rotary Club of New York, Council of Certified Volunteer Administrators (CCVA), and SolarOne.org.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University in Psychology and a master’s in education from Adelphi University and doctorate in Education from Walden University. She holds professional certifications as a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA), Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Professional Coach CPC.
