Healthy U School Based Sites
50 elementary schools implement Healthy U during the school day.*
Healthy U School-Based is presently being implemented in 25 schools across the state with 25 additional schools being added in the 2014-15 school year. The Healthy U program helps schools develop a coordinated school health plan by incorporating the CATCH curriculum and school wellness model in physical education, the classroom setting, the cafeteria, and throughout the school community. The philosophy and goals are to promote and educate while creating an environment for healthy living. The program also provides education and support to families for making good choices and lifestyle changes.
