The New Jersey YMCA State Alliance (NJYSA), through a new partnership with the New York Yankees, created a memorable opportunity for 45 students and staff from the West Essex YMCA. On July 31st, the group traveled to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees take on the Tampa Bay Rays, enjoying a day filled with excitement, team spirit, and connection.
For many of the students, it was their first time experiencing a Major League Baseball game. The kids cheered in the stands and shared the joy of being part of something bigger than themselves. Moments like these highlight the YMCA’s commitment to providing children with opportunities that build confidence, create lasting memories, and strengthen community ties.
This partnership marks the start of a meaningful relationship between the Alliance and the New York Yankees, one that will continue to open doors for youth and families across New Jersey. Adding to the excitement, the Yankees secured a victory by defeating the Rays 7–4, making the day even more unforgettable.
