Sue Cornell

Healthy U Director


Sue has over 22 years of experience with the YMCA. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of the Brandywine YMCA. Her experience includes membership and program development, community relations and fund development. A graduate of West Chester University, she holds a BS in Health and Physical Education.

Darrin Anderson

Associate Executive Director


Darrin is the former Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association, Del-Mar Region. He has been an executive in the non-profit health arena in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey for over 10 years. He was employed at the American Heart Association as the State Health Alliance Director and Director of Health Initiatives, Public Advocacy & Policy. Darrin has a BS in Health, Physical Education & Biological Sciences, an MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Temple University. In his role, Darrin serves as the Deputy Director of New Jersey Partnership for Healthy Kids.

Anita Bennison

Associate Executive Director


Anita is the former Executive Director of the Hopewell Valley YMCA. She has been a cause-driven YMCA leader for over 15 years, working with teams in marketing, communications and financial development at the Hunterdon County and Hopewell Valley YMCAs. Prior to joining the YMCA, Anita held positions in corporate accounting at Merrill Lynch & Co. and Webcraft Technologies and was Director of Corporate Sponsorships for New Jersey Special Olympics. She is a 2011 Leadership New Jersey Fellow, holds a mini-MBA in Digital Marketing from Rutgers Center for Management Development, and a BS in Finance from the University of Delaware where she serves on the Volunteer Admission Support Team.

Kathy Dunn

Special Projects Coordinator


Kathy comes to the Alliance with over 28 years experience as CEO of the YMCA of Eastern Union County. Her experience includes community coalition building, affordable housing development and fund raising in the government and private sectors. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, she holds a BS in Education. In this role, she is leading a team to expand the scale and scope of the 7th Grade Initiative.
