Ramon M. Hache Sr. is a dynamic leader who has led many successful teams, driving transformative change, both in the private and public sector. Ramon was born in 1974 in Santiago, Dominican Republic.  In 1983, he immigrated to the United States where he initially lived in Brooklyn, NY. The family eventually moved to Ridgewood, NJ where he graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1991.

He graduated in 1996 from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY where he played football and rugby and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Ramon worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. He worked for some of the leading global private wealth and asset management companies such as JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and HSBC. He held senior level Managing Director roles. Ramon was elected to the Ridgewood Village Council in May of 2016. Ramon was the first Latino ever elected to the Council and became its first Latino Mayor on July 1 of 2018. Ramon was then elected to the Bergen County Board of Commissioners in 2020, an office he held until 2023 when he became the CEO of the Ridgewood YMCA.

Ramon is very active in his community where he volunteers extensively in various ministries at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church as well as a volunteer youth football coach, game announcer, and treasurer for the local football scholarship committee. In addition to the service to his community, Ramon also dedicates his time to help feed the hungry and to people dealing with homelessness and addiction. Ramon enjoys weightlifting, woodworking and beekeeping. Ramon is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Ramon and his wife Tina have six children under the age of 18.
