On Sunday, March 23, the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance (NJYSA), in collaboration with YAG alumni and a dedicated group of volunteers, proudly hosted the 2025 Youth and Government Pre-Legislative Session at Rider University.

The NJ YMCA State Alliance was awarded funding in NJ’s FY2025 State Budget to advance equity and access to youth civic engagement and drowning prevention programs at New Jersey YMCAs.
Over the past two summers, the NJ YMCA State Alliance has partnered with the McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth Programs in two NJ regions to connect youth experiencing homelessness and their families to local YMCAs for summer programming.
Supporting Arthritis Programming at YMCAs - December 2024 Newsletter

From June through September 2024, 6 local YMCAs participated in NJYSA’s arthritis pilot program, receiving funding to implement one of three Arthritis-Appropriate Evidence-Based Interventions (AAEBIs): Walk with Ease (WWE), Tai Ji Quan Moving for Better Balance ®(TJQMBB), or the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program (AFAP).
